My father has been battling Scleroderma for the past 18 years, it mainly effected his esophagus and stomach to the point where he has been on TPN for the past three years.

On March 7th he collapsed in his bedroom, which turned out to be heart attack, and he needs a triple, possibly a quadruple bypass...  However, we found out that his scleroderma has calcified a lot of his veins and now most surgeons and doctors won't touch him. (Please read the update)

Timeline of events: March 7, 2017 6:50 - PRAY NOW, Ernie fell and is not responding.

March 8, 2017 From my mom at 6am: We are in ICU. They have him on oxygen... i dont think he can breath without it. .. They had to take it off when we changed rooms and he said..i can't breath. I am sleeping in room with mask gown & gloves. His bp is 92/55 pulse is 64 (He was on life support at this time)

12:19pm Update: hi everyone my dad is being airlifted to Sudbury right now for an angiography. Thank you all for the love and support. A special thank you to the MDP First Response team, you guys were my saving grace last night! (Josh Isaac, Chris Williams, Mikey Williams, Shawn and Roger)

March 9, 2017 Too many blockages to put stents.. This morning they will assess to see if he a candidate for bypass. Please keep Ernie in prayer. From Sue & Melissa S Williams

March 10, 4:13pm Thank you EVERYONE for your prayers, encouragement and being with us by cell or in person. We are so truly grateful for all the love and support that we have received! From Susan Elizabeth Williams: Today, Ernie had...2 ultrasounds.. ct scan.. pulmonary. They put a intravenous line on his left shin. They moved him out of ICU to 5th floor..Cardiac Medical Unit (CMU) Physio sat him in chair for 2 hrs.. Ernie said he hasn't been out of bed since Tues... but he's counting down to being back in bed. Melissa washed his hair and gave him a shave...he brushed his teeth..now he's waiting for company. Much prayers are needed for strength in his body, to have the surgery and a speedy recovery.

From Melissa: Please continue to pray for: - Regaining of strength, he is still very dizzy and weak - he needs to be strong to start testing to see if he is a candidate for the bypass - That he would pass all his tests so he can have the bypass (find a good vein for the bypass) - He is very emotional and needs prayers for comfort and peace - Prayers for the medical team, that take the best care for my dad as possible

March 11, 5:07pm Prayer Request and Update: Dr. Atoui the cardiac specislist won't do bypass because of all the calcification on the heart. They are sending all his assessments to Toronto or Ottawa hospital to see if anyone there can or will do anything if not...the last resort is ballooning..which doesn't last long. - Pray that they can find a doctor who will take on my dad's extensive case for the bypass - For God's peace and comfort over my dad - he also had a bad headache that won't go away

10:44pm Update from Sue: Ernie just went for ct scan at 9:15pm ... he was given 4 units of blood and don't know where it went..so they want to see if its in his stomach. They gave him more lasix tonight. The nitro patch is giving him headaches. They are sending all the results of all tests to Ottawa. This doc took us more than 2 steps back...he looked so good and was enjoying everyone company then the doc throws us a bombshell... the scleroderma has calcified a lot of of his arteries ...he has blockages in his neck so he's high risk for a stroke. We are hoping Ottawa will accept him.....I know our only hope is JESUS!!

March 12, 10:15pm We are still waiting to hear back from Ottawa and the results from the ct scan last night. This has been one of the hardest battles we have faced but I am so glad for a family that is close to each other and even closer to God. Please be in prayer that someone will take on my dads complicated bypass. #PraiseYouinthestorm #myhelpcomesfromtheLord #sclerodermastrong #allthingsarepossible #pleasepray #scleroderma #heartattack

11:02am Praise the Lord!!!!! His ct scan came back and showed no blood in his stomach and his hemoglobin has leveled out also..... He's going to Ottawa!!!! The surgeons have looked at his case and have decided to take him on! He will be moving in the next 24-48 hours! Please continue to pray: - He is stable now but that he will continue to be stable on the way over - That he will be able to have the bypass and pass his tests in Ottawa

March 14, 10:54pm (Ann Lashbrooke) Just had a text from Sue , much prayer needed ! A lot of confusion with Dr. about Ernie going to Ottawa , so far nothing is happening ' pray for God to intervine on his behalf !! Pray for Melissa S Williams as she had a meltdown this morning.and Sue sent her home for a break ! This is very hard on her and Sue ! In the confusion Dr thought Ernie didn't want to go to Ottawa !! Told her I would call on all you Prayer Warriors !!! Thanks

March 14, 11:16pm We are still in Sudbury, we don't know anything yet...neither does this weeks doctor... Ottawa needs to get verification that Sudbury did all the tests and had determined they couldn't do the surgery in Sudbury. They also mentioned that Ernie didn't want to go to Ottawa...but he told the Surgeon that was making all the arrangements that he wanted to go. From Parry Sound to Sudbury, Ernie always maintained that he wanted to live and not die (Psalms 118:17). We are claiming Ezekiel 36:26: A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you, and I will take the stony heart out of your flesh, and give you an heart of flesh. We were so on fire when Sandra Whiskeychan came & prayed & read this verse...Ernie's heart is so calcified. In the midst of all this storm, God has been good. Johnny Whiskeychan stopped by this evening and was amazed to see Ernie up & walking...slowly and with a walker... he was there when Ernie was on Life Support. God has been sending many Men & Women of God to come & pray. Ernie's family & My family & have been a great support. All OUR facebook friends & family have also encouraged us with love & prayers. Churches across the Nation are also praying. What an Amazing God we serve... He can do the impossible!

March 15: 4:23pm From Sue: I think because they have his heart pain under control with nitro patches and spray, which he gets severe head aches from so they give him meds, its a vicious circle! they don't seem to care/worry about him! The doctor on call this week said yesterday, Dr. Ravi the Surgeon, will review his charts, we still haven't seen him, my husband is so despondent today it's so sad to see. We sure do need your prayers.

March 16, 10:52am Hi they moved my dad from the cardiac medical unit (doesn't need to be in icu or cmu anymore) to the eight floor today room 8643 - general ward. Ottawa finally got his reports via mail today... They are going to review it and get back to us tomorrow. Pray Pray Pray that they will take him on in Ottawa. Otherwise his last resort will be palliative care with heart and headache pain meds.
