Set Backs

Since my dad had the chills and fever today he will be in here at least a few more days. The fever is gone now but they want him to be fever free a few days before they send him home.

While he is here they will be sending my dad to see a gastroenterologist to look into a feeding tube instead of the TPN PICC line. [I thought that wasn't an option because his stomach is hardening, but the Surgeon seems certain it is just the esophagus that hardens with scleroderma] The Doctor explained he would get a lot more of the nutrition he needs that way and it is much safer then a PICC line.

Pray for him, he is in a lot of pain and feeling weak today. Which i suppose is normal after a double bypass surgery - to have good and bad days. It's just hard seeing him in pain.
