Dr. Reubens was in and said they are going to take a look at his breast bone to see if it is showing signs of infection. When they did the surgery they used veins around his breast bone and diabetics they have a higher chance of that area becoming infected. They are still not going to put him on antibiotics just yet, not until his cultures come back (probably be tomorrow).
Dad went for xrays and it showed that he does have water on his lungs, so they will be doubling up his lasix medication. Dr. Villeneuve, Specialist will be up to talk to my dad about the possibility of a feeding tube, instead of the TPN.
His urine sample came back negative, which is good and his white bloodcell count is normal. The physio took him for a walk today, even though he is not feeling well they want to continue to maintain and build on his strength.
