Yesterday I wrote that the surgeon said he had a double heart bypass, and that my dad is very frail it would be a very slow recovery. They would need to find a balance of proper TPN nutrition and getting his strength restored.

I was amazed when I saw him with no tubes in, sitting up, and talking to the nurse. Thank you Jesus for no complications during surgery and a so-far-so-good recovery!

They just moved him from the Surgery ICU Recovery room to a Cardiac Care unit, waiting to be moved to a regular room. They are possibly going to get him to start walking today. He is hopeful that he will be coming home on Monday (not sure if that means Parry Sound, Sudbury, or Moose Deer) until then, he is being well taken care of at the Ottawa Heart Institute!
